Build with Swift Agents: From Learning to Building, and What Comes Next
At Renaissance Innovation Labs, the goal isn’t just to learn what AI can do. It’s to find out what people can build with it.

5 min readThere is a difference between learning about a technology and actually building with it.
You can sit through a presentation about AI agents, understand how they work, and leave with a notebook full of ideas. But the real test begins when you open a product, start experimenting, and ask a much more practical question:
“What can I actually build with this?”
That question was at the heart of the Build with Swift Agents workshop, organised by Renaissance Innovation Labs (RIL) in collaboration with Swift Agents.
The workshop was not designed to end with people simply knowing more about AI agents. It was part of a larger process: learn, experiment, test ideas, and start turning those ideas into something that can be demonstrated.
And that process is already underway.

1. From Learning About AI to Building With It
The collaboration between RIL and Swift Agents is rooted in a simple idea: technology becomes more useful when people have the opportunity to actually work with it.
Swift Agents provides an AI-powered customer support system that can be integrated into digital products and tested against real use cases. For builders at RIL, that creates an opportunity to go beyond theory and explore where an AI agent can fit into products, businesses, and everyday problems.
The workshop gave participants the space to explore those possibilities.
They were introduced to the technology, its potential applications, and the process of integrating and testing it. But the interesting part wasn’t just what was being taught.
It was what participants began doing with what they were learning.
Questions started shifting from “How does this work?” to “How could this work here?”
That shift is where building begins.

2. The Room Became a Testing Ground
As the workshop progressed, participants began looking at different industries and thinking about where an AI customer-support agent could provide value.
Internally, RIL interns were grouped into teams and challenged to think through possible applications across different industries, including education, engineering, and e-commerce.
The exercise was not simply about coming up with ideas for the sake of having ideas.
Teams had to think about actual problems within these industries and consider where an AI agent could contribute.
For education, that could mean thinking about how students, parents, or institutions interact with digital platforms.
For e-commerce, the conversation moves toward how customers ask questions, find information, resolve issues, and receive support.
For engineering and other technical environments, the question becomes how an intelligent support system could help users navigate products, services, or technical information.
Different industries. Different problems.
But the same underlying question:
Where does this technology actually make sense?
That is what made the pitching sessions interesting. Participants weren’t simply presenting what Swift Agents is. They were beginning to imagine what it could become when applied to different contexts.

3. Curiosity Turned Into Questions
The questions and answers session became another important part of the process.
Participants were curious about how Swift Agents could actually work beyond the demonstration environment. What could it handle? Where could it fit into an existing product? How would it respond to users? What would integration look like?
Those questions matter because building rarely happens in a straight line.
You try something. It raises another question. You test it. Something doesn’t work the way you expected. You adjust. Then you test again.
That cycle of curiosity, experimentation, and iteration is exactly what RIL wants to encourage through practical technology programmes and collaborations like this.
The workshop was therefore less about reaching a finished answer and more about giving builders enough understanding and access to start asking better questions.

4. The Ideas Are Only the Beginning
At this stage, the projects taking shape are still works in progress.
And that’s the point.
The workshop is only one part of the journey.
Participants now have an opportunity to take what they explored and begin testing it against real products, use cases, and problems. Some ideas may change completely. Some may need more work. Others may reveal possibilities the teams had not considered at the beginning.
That uncertainty is part of building.
The interesting question is not whether every idea becomes a finished product.
It is what happens when people are given the tools, the space, and the freedom to experiment?
That is what we are about to find out.

5. From the Workshop to Demo Friday
The Build with Swift Agents workshop is not the final destination.
It is the setup.
The next stage is putting these ideas to the test.
On Friday, September 25, 2026, Renaissance Innovation Labs will host Demo Friday, bringing builders together to showcase what they have been working on.
This is where the building process becomes visible.
The ideas discussed during the workshop will have the opportunity to move from conversations and concepts into demonstrations. Participants can show what they have built, explain the problems they are trying to solve, and give others a chance to see the technology working in context.
For anyone interested in AI, technology, startups, product development, or simply curious about what people are building with emerging tools, this is the part worth watching.
Because you won’t just be hearing about what AI agents could do.
You’ll get to see what people are actually doing with them.
6. Come See What They’re Building
There is something different about seeing a product being demonstrated by the person who built it.
You get to see the decisions behind it.
The experiments.
The things that worked.
The things that didn’t.
And sometimes, the unexpected ideas that emerge along the way.
That is what Demo Friday is about.
The Build with Swift Agents workshop started the conversation. The teams and builders are taking that conversation into experimentation and development.
Demo Friday is where we get to see what comes out of it.
